Life happened! On May 14th, 2016 I got engaged to my sweetheart, Matt. The love of my life made me the happiest girl in the world. When a funny, smart, romantic, tall drink of water asks, you say “yes!”
Almost the minute we got engaged, we found out Matt’s clinical rotation schedule for med school, which we knew was coming hard and fast. Matt would spend 6 months in Georgia and the plan was always for me to go with him. Let the craziness begin!
This meant leaving my friends and family, but to be with my beloved fiancé. I was luckily granted permission to keep my wonderful job in marketing and work remotely. The stars aligned!
With the start date for clinicals June 13th, we had to relocate fairly soon. Matt and I talked about getting married before we packed up and left, so our friends and family could attend (most live fairly close to Maine). But this meant planning a wedding in two weeks – oy!
Needless to say, I’ve got a lot to blog about these days. Stay tuned for more on the proposal, our little wedding and our big move to Georgia!
